I have a sickness. I love Christmas shopping at Anthropologie, but I can't seem to leave there without at least one thing for myself. Here are a few things I am loving right now as a quick outfit, but holding off on since Christmas shopping is not complete, so I need to focus! An added bonus? They are all on sale!
I just started wrapping Christmas presents yesterday and realized that I was in need of gift tags. I searched through my Pinterest boards and found several that I love. Below are some great (free) printables to adorn your presents.
Speaking of holiday season, chocolate makes for an evergreen gift.
But tired of the same old Ghirardeli / Lindt / Ferrero Rocher?
Visit or contact Chocolate Garage in Palo Alto CA for a refreshingly happy look (and taste) of chocolate.
The gamut of flavors and options make for some seriously awesome chocolate gifts that will suit chocolate dabblers and connoisseurs alike. And the best thing about chocolate garage - they are all 'happy' chocolates, sourced from fair trade, fair price makers who have a passion to spread the warmth of chocolate. Sinfully good for a happy holiday!
As Christmas is approaching, those of us who don't finish all our shopping in October are actually starting to think about presents for our loved ones. Some of my favorite gifts to give (and receive) are items that can be worn, and make me (or the recipient) think of the trip it was purchased on, or just of the giver.
Lately I have been really drawn to necklaces. I gave my mom a necklace a few years ago from Red Envelope that says "My Mother, My Friend" and it is so special to see her wear it, and I know she loves it as it really represents our relationship today.
This necklace from Uncommon Goods can be for just about anyone, as the general message "remember what is important to you" can take on so many meanings, making it appropriate for many gift giving occasions.
There are a lot of necklaces for family, but I liked the mixed metals of this option from Amazon:
My favorite of the recent searches is from LuLuBug Jewlery on Etsy, because it speaks to the wanderer in all of us.
Finally, though not all men can pull off jewlery, I do like the dog tag look on a guy in certain situations. This option has the mix of metals that makes men jewlery special, as well as the classic Fleur de Lis symbol. Thanks Overstock!
Have fun searching for some metal that means something to you! -Katie
The holiday season is upon us and Renegade Craft Fair will be back in SF on December 17th and 18th. If you live in the SF Bay Area, this event will help you find gifts for the most difficult ones to shop for on your list. Even if you don't make a purchase, stop by for the free workshops and a healthy dose of craft inspiration.
Creature Comforts blog is one of my daily reads. I was eagerly awaiting her online Gifted Magazine gift guide when she announced it a couple of months ago and it has finally arrived! I was so excited that I flipped through the entire issue, making mental notes of items to buy/do further research on. There is literally something for everyone. Click here to browse.
My coworker Casidy surprised me and the other Covet gals with some beautiful pictures of her daughter, Miss S, who is featured in the current line of adorable clothing from Hopscotch Designs. It's her first time modeling and we all think she is a natural!
Lotta Jansdotter is an amazing artist who has a great eye for pattern. She has several books out on decorating and crafting. She now has her own fabric line out with Windham Fabrics, many of which are pictured below.
Lotta also has a great inspirational blog which contains DIYs, travelogue, and sources of inspiration (I love seeing photos of what she has up on her studio wall). Pop on over to take a look.
With blogging what it is today and the world detaching themselves from paper, it allows us to see beautiful eZines and guides from those we may have never come across. Check out Emily Henderson's (winner of HGTV's Design Star) gorgeous Holiday Guide on Issuu. Wonderful ideas and beautiful photos. It's porn for the crafter!
The holidays are coming! It's my most favorite time of year. The other day I was catching up on my DVR and caught a cresent roll commercial. It's truly amazing what one can do with cresent rolls. Here are a few of my faves.
