Meaningful Necklaces

As Christmas is approaching, those of us who don't finish all our shopping in October are actually starting to think about presents for our loved ones.  Some of my favorite gifts to give (and receive) are items that can be worn, and make me (or the recipient) think of the trip it was purchased on, or just of the giver.

Lately I have been really drawn to necklaces.  I gave my mom a necklace a few years ago from Red Envelope that says "My Mother, My Friend" and it is so special to see her wear it, and I know she loves it as it really represents our relationship today.

This necklace from Uncommon Goods can be for just about anyone, as the general message "remember what is important to you" can take on so many meanings, making it appropriate for many gift giving occasions.

There are a lot of necklaces for family, but I liked the mixed metals of this option from Amazon:

My favorite of the recent searches is from LuLuBug Jewlery on Etsy, because it speaks to the wanderer in all of us.

Finally, though not all men can pull off jewlery, I do like the dog tag look on a guy in certain situations.  This option has the mix of metals that makes men jewlery special, as well as the classic Fleur de Lis symbol.  Thanks Overstock!

Have fun searching for some metal that means something to you!
